As if the changes themselves aren’t enough in the world, the untamed response to change can also be an unnerving factor. Fight or flight is alive and well, revealing itself as a polarisation of opinion that continues where Covid and the vaccine left off. There are many things in our world moving in opposite directions and at this point, the rift between people is leading the way.
The response is part of coping mechanism that tries to understand what world we are actually living in — a question that has never been agreed on, even without all the changes we are seeing.
The interesting thing for me is that the whole scenario is being reflected back to us by the Earth herself! As if somehow, we are having this affect on the material universe. The East African Rift is a zone where the African continent is slowly splitting into two tectonic plates, the Nubian and Somali plates, along a fault line that stretches from the Red Sea to Mozambique, a distance of 4,340 km! While this has been going on for very long time, people seem to be noticing it more now. Why? Because in many ways it represents the rift happening between ourselves . . .
People are forming new groups and mixing with others on the basis of their conforming opinions. And I would ask, is it necessary to take sides? I don’t think so. I think it is better to wait it out and see where all this is going. Sacrificing human relationships is not worth it. In these times of change we need each other, and what we think, is nowhere near as important as who we are. Discriminating people by their beliefs is quite absurd.
What surprises me, are people who appear to live a spiritual life, and yet they too are getting caught in the morass of divided opinion. Many of these people are finding the going tough. They know that they’ve been in a better place, and they can feel the decline in their spiritual vibration.
The Awakening
The “awakening” that is currently imbuing humanity, is an awareness of our spiritual nature. Generally speaking, practicing meditation appears to promote the awakening within people. The level of spirituality we attain, is a personal experience for each person. Over time, the integration of our spiritual nature can affect many areas of our life in a positive way. One of the most profound changes, and perhaps central to our spiritual progression, is our transition from victim consciousness to creator consciousness.
Victim consciousness is a mentality, where our day to day circumstances are at the mercy of external events, including the actions of other people. A victim mentality blames others for their circumstances and feels powerless to change this outlook.
With the awakening, comes “Creator consciousness”. This is a mentality that perceives our part in creating every life circumstance. This positively charged viewpoint sees everything as happening for a reason. It is through our acquired spiritual awareness and practicing meditation, that we find what that reason is. The reason itself becomes a point of growth that furthers our spiritual pathway and raises our spiritual vibration. There is an enlivening within our consciousness as we grow more toward our true self and a place where we become a more beautiful version of who we have always been . . .
Which brings me to where I started in current events that polarise and divide people . . .
One of the challenges we face with the raising of our vibration, is our communication with others who may not have yet commenced their awakening. Their attitudes and perceptions may seem vibrationally lower and they may be still in their victim consciousness.
Remember, where awakening begins, is when we realise that we have choice in everything. Taking offence to anyone or anything is affectively, a return to victim consciousness. You may not see it happening, but you will feel it as your vibration begins to wane …
Once you are awake and your vibration is expanding, it is difficult to ignore your higher calling. Taking sides or taking offence is not part of your spiritual presence, nor does it benefit your spiritual growth in any way. So how do you deal with this?
If you find yourself in a lower vibration, it is not because of your surroundings; human or otherwise. It is because you still have a point of growth to deal with. The answer is simple in terms of direction, and if you have been meditating, the execution will be an easy shift as well.
Whether you think you are right or not, your vibration is high because you are a spiritual being. Your spirituality does not discriminate any person by their beliefs, their attitudes or perceptions. Your spiritual being loves them because they are part of your life, and your vibration is the result of you loving who you are.
So the answer to maintaining your high vibration is simple; you love them. You listen to how they feel, you support them with compassion and kindness. You give energy to their awakening, without saying as much . . . and you will find as you make this transition, your buttons will no longer be pushed, and your vibration will continue upward.
You may even get people telling you that you have your head in the sand, and if you believe you do, you will pull your head out and take a side. But spiritual people do not have their head in the sand, they are people who are acutely aware of their surroundings because they created them. They are people who know their positive energy is what makes a difference. It’s not about discrimination or taking sides, it’s about having a positive intention for the world, and going with the flow of that.
