Peace and Quiet [The Collection]

Peace and Quiet [The Collection] is the perfect companion for meditation and healing. The album is comprised of eighteen passages of music from eight albums in the collection. The criterion for selecting the tracks was to create a continuously peaceful atmosphere with an even and level dynamic. Each of the tracks were linked together with natural sound effects. There are no sudden stops or starts – everything fades in, and fades out. Because of this calmness and continuity, a meditation could begin and end at any point during the two hours of music.

Released in 2010, Peace and Quiet creates a consistently gentle and soothing ambience that provides ideal aural background for meditation, passive movement and enhanced learning. When played quietly in the background, it will create a warm and friendly atmosphere encouraging in-depth conversation and openness, perfect for entertaining guests or that special intimate evening.

Over some of the restful passages in Peace & Quiet I was inspired to overlay some of my most favourite VL1-Windkeytar sounds. This added a subtle contrast to the ambient flow by adding a musical narrative to the journey.
