There was no looking back as we put asunder our instinctive, intuitive nature and the earthly creatures and surroundings we were once a part of – and why?
Because we could . . .
It was reason enough when reason had only just dawned on us. But now after hundreds of thousands of years walking this understanding, “because we can” has arrived at its used-by date. Having only one choice is no choice. To do things “because we can” may have got us walking, but now there is a new challenge at hand. It is the challenge of asking ourselves why . . . and for what is the purpose?
There is an awakening within human consciousness. We are seeing things as if for the first time. Could it be true that the mind-set of those first walking humans be still a major factor in how we think today? The answer is resoundingly, yes of course!
Without wanting to pay undue attention to the out-of-control social and environmental dilemmas we find ourselves in, their occurrence is the result of a rambling humanity without purpose. “We do what we do, because we can” is the defining statement of “no particular reason”. It is this that has embedded itself into the core of our genes since the day we stood up and walked. Up to this point it has never been the subject of public review and the world it has spawned has invited little consideration of human and environmental wellbeing.
This time of awakening is a very real phenomenon; it marks the maturing of humanity. Our healthy future rests on our re-visitation to the most essential directive within all of us – and, within each of us . . .
It is a time for the processes of the logical mind to employ the vision and insight of the creative intuitive and its sense to nurture. Yes, we can now build anything, but what is it we want to build?
We can no longer afford to put the responsibility of our future into the hands of a few we call the leaders. We must each act as the leader in our own life and decide what is the most important thing about being human and being alive in such an amazing reality as this . . .
- There can be no discrimination other than to see the most beautiful and unique aspect of each other and the world around us.
- There can be no poverty. There can only be the freedom for each person to express the potential of their innate gifts and talents through the fulfilment of their dreams.
- The Earth is our home. We must tend it as our self. It cannot be ravaged or plundered, or be seen as the servant of our development. The Earth is beautiful.
- We must act in gratitude of our life. Our economy must be a sharing of our mutual love and respect for each other. There is no profit that exceeds our health and wellbeing – or that of the worlds.
Growing up recognises purpose, purpose recognises cooperation and cooperation recognises our oneness as a people and as a consciousness. So we have arrived at this place where we can open our eyes to a new and wonderful time of peace – a true peace that begins within each of us, a peace to become all of us.
Start today. Meditate on the beauty, the wonder and the event of your life. You are so special, so unrepeated and so beautiful. Then look beyond to see the walking giant of humanity pause, to sit in stillness and to love itself from the inside out.
A true purpose to behold is not because we can, but because we choose to. We choose a future in peace of self, and in peace together.
In love and peace always and in all ways . . .
